I HAVE A PLAN BUT NO CHANCE.

I have a plan to promote jobs and economic recovery. I have a plan to restore some dignity and self confidence. A plan that no chance of ever becoming a reality. My plan is to be elected to Congress in 2010 however without name recognition and no ties to the political underbelly that is unlikely at best. I have ideas that can help many people as well as the country as a whole.

1) Legalize marijuana. This would create jobs in every state in America. Raise revenue through taxation for the Government to mis-use but raise revenue nonetheless. This will also save Billions of dollars every year currently spent to fight marijuana. This also reduces crime rates and would keep hundreds of thousands of people out of jail for possession, over 800,000 people were locked up last year for possession in America. That would save money also if we don’t have to prosecute, feed, house and care for these people for the duration of their incarceration.

2) Fight for term limits for all elected officials. The President cannot become King because we have a two term limit for a President. But some Senators, Governors and Congressmen and Congresswomen have been in Washington for 40 years. You want to stop corruption in Washington you have to stop lifetime entitlements and start holding Politicians accountable.

3) I won’t advocate but would not oppose same sex marriages. If you love someone enough to marry them good for you.

4) Fiscal responsibility. Stop the excessive spending and pork prevalent in Washington now. Bring a little common sense to Washington. I am not a lifetime Politician. I am an average everyday guy who knows what it is like to work fulltime. To pay a mortgage or rent, a car payment, buy groceries, gas and pay my taxes. Most Politicians would find this completely alien. What America needs now is people to get active and support new faces for office ans even run for office themselves. To keep putting the same people back in office year after year hasn’t worked well for taxpayers. Just take a look at where we are as a nation. It is time for a change.

5) I am pro-life personally. However I feel the Government has no right stepping into this personal aspect of life. A person’s right to chose has to be upheld regardless of the choice they make.

    U R right no chance.
1st of all pot is not against the law for nothing. More money can be made from it if it is illegal.
2nd term limits are inherently undemocratic if on the odd chance you find a good representitive why should the law stop you from re-electing them.
3rd same sex marriage is a silly issue simply used to make political hay. fuck marriage hetro or gay its BS people who want to have spousal rights should have them but marriage is something that belongs in church and has nothing to do with rights of citizens.
4th fiscal responsibility how cute we spend as much as the rest of the world combined on our military and you didn’t even mention that, this is laughable… Feed people give them helth care but talk of fiscal responsibility is just rhetoric.
5th abortion has been settled in every other industrialized nation. only the extreem right wing loonies are still arguing it. brah dont argue with a fool people wont be able to tell you apart. Abortion is a medical issue between a woman and her doctor and fuck anyone who says otherwise..

Brah, dont overestemate yourself. work for a better world preach on your site, work for change but politics is for scumbags

LMFAO if we don’t spend as much as the rest of the world combined on the military then we wont be able to state our views. ROFLMFAO it is our domestic law that provides for free speech, not our military budget. You seem very scared to me brah. I mean I understand our government is out of control and I take that very seriously. I simply believe that our defence is in education and solidarity not in a bloated military.

I’ll pass, stop agrandizing yourself, I served too but I don’t credit myself with the rights the constitution provides nor do I take credit for the subversion of those rights by domestic enemys. Don’t kid yourself brah our rights were secured 150+ years ago. Korea didn’t secure shit for the US electorate nor did viet nam and WWII was a huge political and economic play that did give us colonys that have enriched our lives but did nothing to effect our domestic laws that provide us with our “libertys”. Imperial objectives have undermined our domestic libertys not enhanced them. Until Americans wake up to the fact that what protects our liberty is our education and solidarity we are vassals to nationalistic myths and the religion of patriotism. Values know no borders they are inate to humans not to nations. Nationalism is a means to divide humans, and the world is evolving beyond nationalism and even the ruling elite recognize this. There is a comming uniformity to politics, either the masses will rise up and control based on humanitarian values or class powers will keep us divided but use the vision of globalism to homoginize their control.

You said “Nationalism doesn’t divide humans idealogies do.” now I hate to have to state the bleeding obvious but… Nationalism is an ideology. When I read comments like that all I can do is shake my head. I don’t understand how something SO obvious can be overlooked.

I turnd the job down. How come you don’t admit your errors?

  7. dsenton 14 Jun 2009 at 6:13 pm edit this

Still ducking and moving, you tried to claim nationalism is not an ideology. Thats just absurd.. Yes you did spell ideology wrong but I would never ding you for that, I cant spel shiit. Besides the comments section is improv editing doesn’t matter just comprehensibility. But the idea that someone would suggest that Nationalism is not an ideology is incomprehensible to me.

    druskdlr,
Yeah Ok anyone can read the thread and see what you said, you dont have to admit your mistake you can just pretend it was not stated clearly.

  9. dsenton 14 Jun 2009 at 11:13 pm edit this

Exactly the truth that Nationalism is an ideology and not the rhetoric that you spewed that it is not.
